Qualche tempo dopo , ecco qui Iona , ora orgogliosamente libero , correndo a piacere sulla collina e dintorni .

Some time later , how Iona is looking like , proudly free , running at ease on the hill and country side .

Qualche mese fa' incontrai Iona , era in un bellissimo prato , ma aveva un aria molto triste , non poteva scorazzare a suo piacimento .

Lo rividi la settimana scorsa , non era piú legato e poteva spaziare in collina , nei prati , libero di galoppare a volontá .

Inutile dire che aveva un'aria fiera e selvaggia , ed era bellissimo .

Mi hanno detto che é dovuto al fatto di mangiare solo erbetta verde e fresca .

Come la libertá appaga !

Quindi mi decisi a disegnarlo come era prima e poi ....

I meet Iona , some months ago , in a beautiful prairie .

He had a very sad look , couldn't move at will .

I saw him again last week , he wasn't tied up anymore and could run up and down the hill in the countryside .

Iona was free to gallop as he wanted .

He was in a very fiery and savage mood .

He was glooming .

I was told that is also because he's eating fresh pasture .

An example of how freedom satisfies , and not only the Human Being... .

So I decided to draw him , in these two conditions. Above is the first one .

In an old PC , I've just found the photo of this painting , which dates back to 5 years ago .

At that time , I & a friend of mine decided to exchange one of my works for a series of therapeutic massages .

Mark was born in one of the years of the horse , so he chose this painting .

We both believe in the importance of barter , by which , without using monetary quantities , we calculate the exchange parameters mainly upon the moral values of each other's work .

In un vecchio PC , ho appena ritrovato la foto di questa tela , dipinta circa 5 anni fa' .

Allora , io ed un mio amico ( massaggiatore professionale ) , decidemmo di scambiare un mio quadro per una serie di massaggi terapeutici .

Mark , essendo nato in un " anno-del-cavallo " , scelse questo quadro .

Entrambi crediamo nella logica del baratto , in base alla quale , senza scambio di quantitá di denaro , si attribuiscono valori morali al lavoro di ciascuno .

MOSCHE / FLIES .

Osservando come alcuni cavalli si dispongono , quando attaccati da nugoli di mosche , si puó notare una istintiva propensione ad assumere una posizione utile a liberarsi reciprocamente da quei fastidiosi ospiti .

La coda di uno , svolazzando , si incarica di fornire sollievo ad un'altro , che , con la sua , svolge la stessa funzione intorno al muso di un'altro e cosí via .

Esempio di una Socialitá primitiva ma efficace che l'Uomo non sembra aver recepito ...

Looking at how a few horses locate , when attacked by swarms of flies , we notice an instinctive propensity to assume a position which is useful to reciprocally liberate themselves from the fastidious guests .

One's tail , sweeping , gives relief to someone else , which , in turn , does the same around an other's head and-so-on .

It's an example of a primitive but effective social attitude , which Man doesn't seem to have grasped ..
